Game Day Treats!

Are you ready for some football sweets?

Fantasy Football Brownies

These football brownies are so easy! Simply bake your favorite brownie mix, then cut the brownies into football shapes. (I crafted a make-shift cookie cutter out of a leaf-shaped cookie cutter that I no longer wanted.) Then, melt some milk chocolate in a double broiler and dip the smooth side of the brownie into the chocolate. Let that cool. In a Ziploc baggie, melt some white chocolate chips (be careful not to burn them, use half-power for about 15 seconds at a time). Cut a tiny slit in the corner of the baggie and pipe football laces onto the brownies! It's a hit.

Fourth and YUM!

This stuff is foul-proof! I don't know what to call it. Popcorn smackdown? Just toss pantry staples into a big metal bowl (popcorn, pretzels, Chex cereal, Cheerios, peanuts, M&M's, etc.) Then, melt a package of white candy coating (sometimes called almond bark) and slowly mix the melted coating onto the dry stuff. I also colored some of the almond bark to match team colors (in this case green and yellow) and then drizzled the colored candy on top for a festive touch. Beware, it's addictive.

Line of Scrumptious!

These are my "Winning Season Strawberries"! They are chocolate-covered strawberries decorated to look like footballs. One important thing I learned is to use whole strawberries. If you cut them in half before you dip them, all the juices will ruin the coating.

Gridiron Goodies

So, for these yummies, I simply put peanut butter on Ritz crackers to make cracker sandwiches. Then, I dipped them in milk chocolate and then piped white chocolate on top (see football brownies) to make the laces. (You could do the same thing with oreo cookies.)

For presentation, I painted yard lines on a piece of AstroTurf (or whatever you call that outdoor carpeting you buy at the home improvement store). For the brownies, I cut wax paper to put each brownie on. I put the strawberries on a glass plate and put the plate on top of the turf.
